Details Itinerary

Day 01: Meeting with guide in Chhukung Village

Fly to Lukla, trek to Namche to Phakding. Ascend to Tengboche following the trail in Sagarmatha National Park. Trek to Chukkung Village and meet with your climbing guide. Attend a brief meeting regarding the climb you are undertaking from the next day. Overnight at a lodge at Chukkung Village.

 Day 02: Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 meters/17,060 feet)-3/4    hours. And Pre-Climbing Training.

 Today, you are going to encounter the steep trail all the way from Chukkung Village to Island Peak Base Camp. We climbed up witnessing the Lhotse Glacier. We also see the trail to Amphu Lapcha to the southeast. The zigzag route through the Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines, finally, takes us to the wide and pleasant valley to the south-west of Island Peak. Attend pre-climbing training. This pre-climbing training includes how to handle climbing gears like climbing boots, ice axe, rope, harness, crampons etc. Build up the confidence and be prepared to scale Island Peak. Overnight at Island Peak Base Camp.

Day 3: Climbing to Island Peak (6,189 meters/20,305 feet) then down to Chhukung -11/12 hours.

Rise early at between 12-1 am and have your breakfast prior to climbing. We have to get the top of the Island Peak before noon in case the afternoon will be windy which obstructs our climb. In the beginning, we walk on the sandy trail; soon it turns to be a steep rocky trail. We climb several rocks and pass gully. Our guide will fix the rope if it is required. Mostly, we use the fixed rope and we also use the rope that we have if needed. Mainly, we will encounter two major crevasses. These crevasses are about 3-4 meter long. We will make these crosses by using the ladder. Climb to the top of Island Peak. Celebrate the most majestic mountain views, imprison the best moments into your cameras. Trek down to Island Peak Base Camp and further trek to Chukkung Village. Celebrate your triumph of Island Peak Climb. Overnight at a lodge at Chukkung Village.
