Florida may have its spectacular beaches, but Michigan has its lakes. At Lake Michigan, you can feel as though you’re at the ocean without the salt. You can have sand, waves and even seagulls. The sunsets over Lake Michigan are pretty breathtaking. 

Spending the day at the Coast Guard City, Grand Haven allows you to sunbathe, walk the boardwalk and enjoy other fun summer activities. You can check out the lighthouse, which makes for some fun photo opportunities. Every year it holds a Coast Guard Festival, which has become a premier event in Michigan.
